UGH, so greedy!

 

Happy Friday the 13th everyone. I found out this morning that the check engine light on the Monte was not because of a loose gas cap. It was a P0128 code. Coolant Thermostat (Coolant Temperature Below Thermostat Regulating Temperature)

Why did my Monte throw the code? Because the coolant level is low. Why is it low? Because the intake gaskets are leaking. So the gaskets are going to be replaced, coolant being flushed, engine oil changed (due for a change anyway). And since they'll have the engine apart anyway, and the spark plugs and wires are original, they're gonna be replaced also.

Oh yeah... and the thermostat is bad too.

 

Haha he said if I ever want to sell the WS6 he has first dibs at the price I paid and for the Rambler, he said if I ever get too deep into it, being his dad's car, he will pay me for every cent I have into it. I figure I'll keep dumping the cash into it, he can enjoy them for free.
