Default Found My Old Gtp

So I was playing around on craigslist today, just bored and looking at various things- scrolling through cars when I catch this red gtp. I think-'hey that looks like my old one, except the wheels are different'; then it hits me- I put my old monte wheels/tires on it when we traded it in because I had just bought brand new Goodyear Eagle GT's for the grand prix (and I figured I'd have better luck selling stock 5 spoke GP wheels than these later on if I ever decided to)- and it hits me- that's my old car!

I know its nothing too crazy, I just figured after we traded it in and it went to auction, that it would be long gone and would probably end up in IL or something. Here it is, the car ends up less than 30 minutes away from where we traded it in, and right down the road from my work.

I drove by tonight, and it is there- but it was really pouring, so I didn't get a good look. I think I'm going to go back tomorrow and talk to them just for fun- maybe even test drive it (I really miss the blower whine)

The two things I wonder are if they put a cat on it (it had a 3" catless DP- welded in at the rear when they did the res delete; stupid shop...); and if anyone fixed the airbags (light bulb was pulled).

Just for fun, check it out and point out all the things "wrong" with it.

"Hey, aren't those the wrong wheels for that car?"

"What's the deal with the exhaust on this car?"

That is so kewl that you found your old car man. Maybe you should run the snot out of the car on a test drive and then tell them that its to slow.

I did make 3 lists, one of the mods still left on it, one of what parts/fluids are new, and one of the problems I knew about it. I might test drive it first, then let them know I was the last owner- and give them the lists. At least 2 of the lists should help them sell it, lol.

Maybe you should run the snot out of the car on a test drive and then tell them that its to slow.
Its scary to do on those tires- the tires on those wheels are almost 10 years old with about 60,000 miles on them (from when they were on the monte)- they're worn out and had a lot of cracks in the rubber from a couple years sitting on the monte in the elements.

When we went to trade it in, it was wet out- and it lit the tires up in 2nd at 45 mph (the car would usually be a total dog at that gear/speed)- I never got a chance to try wot in the dry.

Are you sure this thing gets 28 mpg highway?
Actually, I was getting 20 city / 30 highway, so those numbers aren't that far off.
