Favorite areas and where you want to go

In the "Who Will Be Where This Year?" thread where I mentioned where I'll be in 2008 and early 2009, I also asked 2 questions: "Where is your favorite area?" and "Where do you want to go in your lifetime?". I thought these might be better suited for a different topic; thus, this thread.

But, a twist, on both questions:

1 ... Where is your favorite area in your HOME country (for most of us, the US)?

2 ... Where do you want to go in your HOME country (for most of us, the US) in your lifetime?

For me ... the answers are easy:

1 ... Nashville/Jackson TN

2 ... Everywhere I haven't been already on one of my road trips, to see the sights and, of course, meet more people. This includes California, Boston/the NorthEast, Minnesota, Alaska and a few other places. Course, I'd also like to re-visit many of the places to which I've already traveled...and I'll be doing some of that this year, driving to Pennsylvania in June and then again in August (including stops in Ohio, Michigan, New Jersey, Maryland, northern Virginia)...and then the St Louis area in early October.

So ... what about you? How do you answer these 2 questions?

Niagara Falls is right on the border... that is definitly the most beautiful place I have ever been to...

I enjoyed all three of my class trips to Washington, DC... I always leave wishing I could have spent more time there (same with Niagara Falls too).

Graceland is a beautiful place too... but the only thing (aside from maybe the Pyramid) that I like there.

Nashville is beautiful.... lots of good people there, home of country music.

I'd like to go to Texas (never been there... honest) I'm known around school as the cowboy who's never been to Texas. I'd like to go just so I can tell them I've been and shut them up.

Actually, I'd like to go anwyhere out west... I'd like to see Rushmore, teh Grand Canyon... and I'd also like to see Crater Lake in Oregon (a lake in a dormant Volcano).

Favorite Place in My Home Country is the City Of Sofia, Born and Raised there. Thats in Bulgaria.
Favorite Place in my Second Home Country is Lake George, NY.

I would Like to go the Vegas. Soon....

I think my favorite is the Southwest area. Utah, Nevada, Arizona areas. Like to drive my Monte out there for a repeat and maybe go up to the Northwest and over towards Montana.

i would love to go and see the crazy horse monument in person and then just drive on the highways through the norhtern states during the summer and just drive around the country. So a long as i am in my monte i will be happy while i am driving.

Crazy Horse... now that will be beautiful if finished. They've been wroking on it for about 50 years... and it was just 10 years ago they got the face finished.

cultus lake shown here. if ya follow columbia valley road south on this map it's my favorite drive. twists and turns along side the lake then it goes up a mountain all the way to the canada/us border (it's clear cut in the forest along the 49th paralell, you can see it from the road.

oh where do i start? newfoundland, PEI, niagra falls, montreal, toronto, ottawa, windsor, parry sound. i'm sure there's more but thats just off the top of my head.
