Hi `Mel,
That would be a SuperSuper Theme Song for the MCF
or a MCF ReUnion 4-Sure
smile on your brother, everybody get 2gether... try to love one another right now" <~> RIGHT NOW

I think I would have enjoyed living in that era 4-Sure....
Thanks `Mel 4 sharing

Hi `Mel, I know that your generation had a superSuper message of Love & Peace 4 `all, but I believe that 2 many got lost in the happy smoke & lost their way...~>
I think some are still lost ~>

I know that I got lost when I partook in my mid teens...during the challenge period of my grandfather's & senior citizen friends teaching's. I had to test what I was taught & it took a few bad lessons in life, to find that their teachings & examples were true & that they were right in their lessons to the beachBum's & I...Sometimes...., many times I learned the hard way 4-Sure....
Sorry `Jerry, for the high-jack
I was having a flashback LOL~>

I'm learning so much as time passes & as I travel my `journey of life 4-Sure
I know that I've learned a lot from the Member's of the MCF that are from all over this world..
Have you changed as you learn ?
I hope your changes are good ones 4-Real..
Peace/Out from `Space

Jerry that's what I like about country music. I can relate to most of it. I like a lot of rock from the musical aspect but it doesn't hit home for me like a lot of country songs do. Then throw in the Christian music (which itself can be part of several other genres depending on the artist) and I love the message from that as well.
While I love classic rock from a musical aspect, I just simply cannot relate to it at all (except maybe Skynyrd). Not a city boy (or a party animal) by any stretch and never will be. Just an ole country boy from Oklahoma and I wouldn't have it any other way.

@zenloser: H3LL yeah! "Spacelord, motha motha!" \w/
If I showed a picture of my "wall" of CDs, you folks would think I was out of my mind. Though there is a particular genre missing, ... this stuff I call "new country". Paisley, Big & Rich, Sugarland, etc ... I think you get the point - just cannot connect with it. Old, old country is great, ... Campbell, Rogers, Milsap, Rich, even Dolly.
I even get down for all that sappy, dopey one-hit wonders onf the 70s & 80s ... 80s soft rock, ... etc. But TOP faves are:
Dr.Dre - Deeez Nuuuts - YouTube (NSFW)
The first few lines of the first verse take me back to 1992 when I bumped this in my first system in my El Camino rollin' into McDonald's on Erie Blvd. here just outside of Syracuse, NY, USA. Damn, 1992 ... to be 17 again ...
Bob Seger - Still The Same - YouTube
Nearly everything Segar did in this era was spot-on, but, to me, this stands out for the lyrics, & changes in tempo(s) - favorite Segar, period ... His voice is so unique ...
Fort Minor - Where'd You Go (Official Music Video) - YouTube
Absolutely beautiful song with powerful lyrics ... from a multi-talented guy (Mike Shinoda of Linkin Park), & bumps hard as &$%@. Yeah, I like rap ... guess it was in the time I grew up ...
Warren G - Regulate ft. Nate Dogg - YouTube
G-Funk, step to this .... I dare ya.
RIP: Nate Dogg.
But if you really want a dopey song that gets me to the core, here:
Anne Murray - I Just Fall In Love Again 1978 - YouTube
Oh, yeah, ... ANYTHING by Jim Croce ... Especially "Rapid Roy (That Stiock Car Boy)"
Jim Croce - Rapid Roy (The stock car boy) - YouTube
That racin' fool, he don't know what fear's about
He do a hundred thirty mile an hour
Smilin' at the camera
With a toothpick in his mouth
... & to image he was just getting started in his career ... Died a year before I was born.
Yup, ... most say I am infatuated with/about music ... Suppose it was better to get "into" than other things us kids did back then ...
