How did they get the idea that a cat-back affects emissions??? That's just crazy. And only on 96 or newer? Geeze all they do is plug in to the OBD port anyway.

The EPA and a few other groups want us all riding bicycles that no pollutants unless you pass gas as you pedal. In an effort to reach that goal they are attempting to legislate what can be done to a car by its owner. They have already legislated that you can not buy a used catalitic converter to put on your car. You must buy new and if new is not available you have to junk the car. This is their way of reducing the numbers of used cars on the road as was the popular clunker bill a few years ago. All the cars that were traded in using the clunker bill had to be junked. The only parts that were allowed off of them was what was needed to make it crushable. The EPA is out of control and things will only get worse. Barak Obama supports the efforts of the EPA. I voted for him in 08 but will not do so again.

They are mindless idiots. They have no clue how cars run. They just want to make sure that no one changes anything from the way it left the assembly line. They have already mandated how they are built there.

Who would pass this bill? I mean we paid for our cars, we should have the freedom to do what we want. The only exception I would go for is the catalytic converter. Keep the catalytic converter law that we have in order to reduce emissions.

If the EPA got their way, we wouldn't even have bicycles. Honestly I will continue to mod my car the way I want to no matter what the big mans says. If I can't have freedom of speech, I can sure have freedom to do what I please with what I buy. Come on, tell me I can't put a fireplace in my house.

EPA is just a huge wast of money, should just get rid of it & wed have more money

Thank god for living in a state with no inspection, my Saturn would fail as soon as it was started and the giant cloud of blue smoke came pouring out the exhaust... If I had to pay to have that fixed I would be a unhapy man.. would mean basicly a complete teardown all becuase Saturn did no think to drill oil relief holes in the oil control ring land
