While i realize that as long as you're talking about a certain product, the commercial is a success....however....do they really think something like this is gonna help sell trucks? Seriously? It even says on the bottom "this is impossible"

I saw that commercial and think it is dumb. They are trying to relate to the extreme sports guys and that may do it.

I miss the Nissan commercials froms years past. If I remember correctly a young boy is chasing a rolling ball and comes into contact with an old Japanese guy and they explore some of Nissan's history and the old dude says something like life is a journey, enjoy the ride. Does anybody else remember those commercials and when they were aired?

Honesty I think that commercial is intended for you to remember the truck, not to think the truck can do that. The Frontier has kinda flown under the radar as a compact truck ever since it came out. I think they just want you to remember that the truck is out there with commercials like this one and the one where the plane lands its front wheel in the bed of the truck. Think about it, mission accomplished. We are talking about the truck on a completely unrelated forum so really they got their desired effect.

Like Matt said It has people talking about it so it must work. I always found it interesting that company's like McDonalds, Coke, Pepsi and other's that everybody know's about and already uses spend millions on ads every year. I 'm not gonna go get a big-mac because I just seen an ad, or switch to pepsi because I like their commerical better.
