Amelia Island Concours : Best of Show | Mercedes-Benz vehicle list
The Amelia Island Concours awards two best in show honors, one for 'Concours d'Elegance' and the other for 'Concours de Sport.' The first is given to the most elegant vehicle on the show field, while the other is for the most deserving race car.
This year, the judges selected Sam & Emily Mann's 1937 Mercedes-Benz 540K Special Roadster as their favorite. It is one of three bodied with a covered spare tire, which allowed the rear aspect to be rounded and the most attractive of the Special Roadster configurations of the 1936-1938 period.
The car is powered by a WoW ~>5.4-liter supercharged, in-line, eight-cylinder engine developing 180 horsepower coupled to an unsynchronized four-speed manual transmission. It has a top speed of 105 MPH and is capable of 0-60 MPH in 16.4 seconds.

Moretti 1500 | Moretti vehicle list
Starting in 1949 and continuing through 1957, Moretti cars have had a long and exciting history of participation in the Mille Miglia. This car, a Moretti 1500 Freccia d'Oro, is powered by a Moretti designed and built 1500 cc, 4-cylinder, twin cam, twin plug, twin carburetor and twin distributor motor. It has both body and tubular chassis by Moretti. The four-speed transmission is Fiat 1100. This car was one of three cars specially ordered and built in 1955-1956 by Moretti for the 1500cc class by an Argentinean group who wanted to compete against Maserati 150S and OSCA 1500, among others. This is the third car built: #001 went to Argentina and was never paid for, but destroyed/crashed; #002 and #003 were bought by the Trustee for Moretti's bankruptcy as an independent constructor in the 1960s. Moretti survived several more years as a carrozzeria or body designer/coachbuilder, mostly for Fiat.

Peugeot 402 | Peugeot vehicle list
The French coachbuilder Pourtout built custom bodies for Peugeot from 1928 until 1942.
The Peugeot 402 was offered with a range of 16 different bodies produced in Sochaux, France from 1935 to 1942. Power was from a 2-liter overhead valve engine with poppet valves.
This example rides on a 116 inch wheelbase and bodied in steel over an ash frame. It has a rare Cotal three-speed automatic pre-selector transmission. This example may have been designed exclusively for the Paris Motor Show. It is formerly the property of the Jerome Sauls Collection. The current owner completed an exhaustive 3-year restoration in the late 2000s.
