I heard about it... I'm excited for it, but also hoping that George stays a small part of it.

It appears that he had already written the stories, just was mad at the fan base and didn't continue on with the story. I'm interested to see how Disney ruins, I mean makes the next video.. I'm a huge star wars freak :p

Disney has the tendency to kill things that weren't originally part of Disney.

Okay, case in point...

The Muppets. AKA The Children's Television Workshop.

Disney bought the muppets in 2004. How much has the muppets seen the light of day since 2004? Aside from Sesame Street which has been in continuous production for over 40 years. There's some small scale work direct to video or the web. But nothing huge like when Jim Henson's company owned it.

The biggest publicity the muppets got in the last few years, is when Romney mentioned Big Bird in the debates.

Just my opinion. If others think it's a good move, that's fine.

I heard 3 new movies are coming. I am one of few in my age group to never see star wars. I do think spending 4 billion is worth it if it comes with all the rights to everything. The whole franchise makes big money every year.
