Aliens come, we kill them. That is how an alien invasion movie should be. District 9 was an interesting version of an 'alien' movie, but not to my taste. I'll probably check this one out.

I have to disagree. The general theme of, "Who is the real monster?" has been around since at least 1819 when Frankenstein: or The Modern Prometheus was published. In my opinion the genre has been drawn out to borderline cliché. The movie was well produced, but the idea was not original.
True, but the cliche "we've been invaded lets fight back... we win" has been played it even more. That's what I THOUGHT District 9 was about, but I was pleasantly surprised when it wasn't. Sure, the idea of the humans being monsters was shoved down your throat but it was different than the common Independence Day.
