I'm a car enthusiast that appreciates all makes. But when it comes to actually owning a car, I prefer a GM. Nothing personal against anyone who bought (or is buying) a Mustang. I just prefer not to buy one for myself.

 

On one of my recent trips to Toronto on company business (I usually have an economy or mid size car as a rental)... This last time in August, they offered me an upgrade to a Mustang convertible (it was heat wave city in TO) no extra charge, so I naturally said yes... The ride was a 2012 5.0 GT convertible with the 2 factory hood louvers and it was all black, including the leather interior... I must say I have never, ever been a FORD guy, but this ride was sweet... On the V8's the rental companies now put limiters on everything, stereo volume, speed, traction control etc... Even with these restrictions the car not only handled very, very well for a rag top, but had a beastly explosion of power out of that 5.0, even with traction control stuck on she would lay down the most beloved "S" pattern burn out and would kick out around corners... I have to say, this was the most fun I've had since driving my 1970 GTO... I would definately consider one against a Camaro SS for the price difference alone...
