I am going to take a stab at it and say you are asking about a racing engine simulator.

ok here are the basics.
you take a motor. I.E. 350 chevy.
you pick the cam for it, the pistons and typ of rings etc...
you then pick the crank and then it will simulate a run wiht this motor.

after the run it will give you a dyno graph tha tis suposed to be close to wha the actuall motor can produce with this set up.

there are sevearl other things that you cna adjust like the carbs lift ont he cams etc...
you can basically get a educated guess on what all of the componets that you can put in to the motor will do when complete. So that you can get the parts you want put togeather in the computer and decied weather or not i will help or hurt the horse power rating . of the motor.

i downloaded a copy, and it keeps telling me i have to connnect the car to my laptop. so yeah lets see if i can find a better copy

yeah umm think you have a actuall dyno program not the desk top dyno version that i know of.

it is a actual program for figureing out the motors and specks.

the one your talking of i think is for the actuall machine for the dynos at a shop

i have a copy of desk top dyno 2000 !
i dont like it too much it dynoed my motor @ 100 hp less
i also have comp cam cam quest that one is more acurate for me but you need a comp cam for it to work
