I have one for #1.
I took this in July upon arriving home from the Lansing Car Capital show. It's a high 3/4 angle looking over the car that I took at the local junior football field. For these perspectives, I hold the camera up as high as possible, tilt the camera down where I think it should be aimed and shoot blind until the car is centered how I like it. It takes a while sometimes. This is probably my favorite shot I took this year.

I like those shots too. I use a Canon T3i, which has a rotating flip screen so I can see with the camera over my head. This is an important selling feature to me, as it also help with those "ground up" shots. I also carry a small cheap step ladder in the trunk for a little more elevation when I need it. Sometimes looks like a drone shot

Nice, I like that shot! That's close too. I'm pretty sure I can't get that close to Michigan Stadium but it makes me want to get back to Michigan Stadium next year to shoot some new pictures.

Matt, can you really reach that high? It looked like the camera was at least ten feet up! I tried looking for your reflection on the car but couldn't see anything to give you away...
That's one thing about glossy paint, isn't it -- it makes a good photographer try to hide himself.

Well while I was out and cleaning up the Monte I found a Christmas display to take a photo by. This is the talk of the town. How many of you all remember the James Bond Movie (You only live Twice) well this is one of those Auto Gyro helicopters. Has a Santa in it with lights and all.
Monte is in the background
Now the street view
So this is the entry for the #2 Christmas anything pic.
