Rick I'm with you. I prefer the daylight savings time but I hate the time change. I wish they would do the daylight savings time all year and forget about standard time. If it makes sense for the spring, summer, and fall why not the winter too? I work second shift so I always start in daylight and end in the dark.

I don't really care myself... just go one way or another and stick with it. My favorite part of Daylight Savings Time is all the morons in the fall hopping up and down about hwo great it is they're gaining an hours sleep, then complaining in the psring when they lose that hour back.

If you want an extra hour of daylight in the spring, summer, and fall, wake up an hour earlier

Ahh ...been through so many time changes I am immune to them now. Back in the day it affected my EDI programs had to get up early sunday morning to change the codes for the programs (we use time zone codes in some shippers) I got wiser in my old age and automated the time zone changes in the EDI documents now.

Waking up one hour earlier or later is better than not waking up at all......

How right you are, Tadd...we should appreciate every hour we have, daylight or night. Personally, I'd like to have Daylight Savings Time all the time, 12 months of the year. Gives me more time to work on the Monte.

I honestly don't like it being light out until 10pm. By that time if I'm on nights I'm well into my shift at work or when I was on active duty I was trying to go to bed. I'd rather it be light earlier in the day so I'm not doing PT in the dark. It's a lot easier for me to wake up when it's light out than when it's dark out. When I was gone for my training the last few weeks it was 7am before the sun came up. We woke up at 430. No thanks. I'll keep the standard. If it was DST year round the sun would come up at 0800 by December. That really would not go over well with me.

It seems like I go to work when it's dark out and when I head home it's dark already too.

Actually we don't start getting slower till after Dec 22. Which is the 1st day of winter & the darkest day & the shortest daylight day of the yr. Then we gain a little over a min a day of daylight.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 05:19 PM.
