Well, if she doesn't sell in a couple of weeks, I will put her back on mothballs.

Grandpa `Dave, I'm sorry to read that you may
have to depart with one of your treasures [X(]
My grandfather's teachings I share:
He taught me that I wouldhave to give up to get,
Give `up to give, Give `up to share& Give `up to keep.
I hope that you don't have to give up to much.
Sometimes, we have to give up some of the things we love,
for other things/people we love.
I can relate so well...I do so miss my Monte Carlo, but it's
really just another material possession, that can later be replaced.
I wish you well, I wish you the blessing to keep what you love.
Peace/`Space

That car looks like a prime candidate for the show "Overhaulin".
I'd love to see what Chip Foose would do with it.

I too hope you're able toput it on mothballs, so you can keep it.

Awww! I'm crying with you <<Mom pats you on the back>> I certainly hope she doesn't sell and you can keep her, but if she does I hope she will go to someone who will cherish, baby and restore her to her former glory. If I could afford it I would be the first in line. Man I love them old girls!

i don't know taz.... i'm not a big fan of Foose.. i like the stock look myself, with very little modification . maybe a set of rims or a little chrome, but thats it. idon't like body kits and such, especialy on such an old car. i like to see the car the way tis mean't to look.

Normally I would agree with your view on restoration, Duane. I don't like how most customizers ruin (in my opinion) the look of a classic car. Ifind that, for my taste, Chip Foose is one of the very few guys who doesn't ruin every car theywork on. Chip has mentioned a few times that he likes doing work that looks like it could have been, or should have been, a factory option/upgrade. He said he likes when people look at one of his cars and say stuff like, there's a great lookin classic (insert carname here). Not, Hey look at that modified (whatever car).

If you're not a Foose fan, that's fine. I respect the fact that there are still people out there who are willing to see the beauty in the original styling, and willing to restore a car to it's original glory. I hate seeing a car destroyed or ruined by some Boyd Coddington wannabe.

By the way, I'm definitely NOT a fan of Boyd Coddington! Especially after he took a fully restored, mint condition Model T Ford, and chopped it up to turn it into a rat-rod. In my opinion, Boyd has ruined so many great cars. So I understand where you're coming from Duane.

GPD,
What's the story here? The wifey need a heart transplant or the dastudly bank guy knocking at the door wanting the deed to the ranch?

Man!! Monte Mom (Sandi) is going to have to stop over here and give me a hug cause I'm not only cryin' for you, I had to order pizza to console myself.

Please give us a few details. Don't leave us hanging.
