Not really feeling the wood grain on a 6th gen.

I love the aerocoupes. Too bad about all the CarFax reports. I'm really wondering about the 25,000 original miles. Call me skeptical.

 

I think the wear on the edge of drivers seat shows more mileage than 25K, you dont get that much. My 88 had 43K and looked better than that one.

 

When I mentioned 13 records in 25,000 miles I was being a bit sarcastic. The misalignment of the door and the broken plastic in the upper radiator support cover are a dead giveaway that it has been involved in at least one accident. There's also body shop dust all over the place...the top of the battery, behind the distributor, the edges of the air cleaner housing, etc. Anyone notice the rust on the upper A arms, frame and the rusty/greasy engine? I've never seen an engine (even a neglected one) look like that in only 25,000 miles. It might not even be the original. It might be a wrecking yard special, but from the looks of the A arm and front frame section I'd say that car has seen a lot of miles.

Isn't there an easy way to see if it rolled? Aren't the numbers no longer all lined up or something?

 

that car has been overturned as far as mileage i went and looked at it a couple weeks ago. its not as nice as it looks. McKee in des moines has an all original same color and body style monte carlo ss that need to be repainted due to the old lacker paint on it. It has like 35k miles on it and the interior isnt faded at all. T-Tops and its only $8998. its an amazing car.

 

Yep, on the old mechanical odometers if they have rolled over (or been rolled back) the numbers will no longer be in alignment with one another.

Just an '01 LS, but does anyone know what vehicle these rims originally came on?
