Driver inexperience perhaps. I beat a few mustangs driven by high school guys trying to impress their friends. I was driving my 1991 Cavalier Z24 at the time.

I've heard that argument from a lot of purists. They refused to like it because it wasn't designed and built in the USA. Or because it didn't look retro.
I know it's a modded Holden Monaro. But you have to appreciate a car the size of a Grand Am with a 5.7 litre V8 stuffed into it.
They didn't look retro like many purists wanted. But the GTO name can be proud to be on one hell of a performance car. I wanted one in the worst way back in 04 and 05. But GM wouldn't sell them to Canadians.
