City of lansing MI declares state of emergency
City of Lansing just declared a state of emergency no traffic is allowed on the roads. We are to get an additional 16 inches of snow on top of what we got now
Wifey just heard this on the News here - Emergency crews can not respond to any traffic accidents safely and roads cannot be cleared with traffic on them

Washtenaw County is under a snow condition yellow. Granted, we don't have the accumulation you guys are seeing further to the North, but we've got a solid 8-10" on the ground now and are expecting at least 12". All schools in the County are closed tomorrow.
Michigan is used to snow, especially the Northern Lower and definitely Upper Peninsula, but it's rare for southern Michigan to see a storm with this significant of snowfall. Honestly, I can't remember the last time areas in southest Michigan received even near 17+ inches from one storm.

If this were to happen in washington... all hell would break loose... nothing would happen. I don't think we could respond.

Tadd I think an additional 16" is a bit high; I saw an additional 5-9" depending on location. Which, for you, that would mean upwards of a possible 21".
A few areas have broken the 17" mark within the past hour-and-a-half.

And the snow would be the President's fault. (No matter who's in office)
