Good morning gang! It's good to have a day off.

I hope you all have a safe weekend and enjoy the Super Bowl.

We had huge plans for Sunday that just got put on hold. We will be travel to my wife's parents. Doctors found a scary mass in her Dad. The attempt to remove it is life threatening, and leaving it is as well. He can use your prayers. So we are taking the kids to see him tomorrow. I am sure he will have the game on though.

On a lighter note the weather for today looks great so I will be outside doing something for sure!

We have a great day here too around 40 degrees and sunny.

This Flint water crisis is ridiculous. I've been following it and, if you start reading into it, it's really amazing what lead to the current situation and the extreme lack of care and urgency from officials in power. All to save a buck which is chump change compared to what it's going to cost to now fix. This is definitely going to cost all Michiganders in some way since our Governor is requesting money from the State budget. He has been searching for federal aid as well so this is ultimately going to affect all Americans in some way. So, if you aren't pissed off, you should be. And, almost two years later, Flint residents are still paying for toxic water they can't use.

 

Hi Matt, you should get into Michigan Politics' & run for office to correct all these problems in your State The people must get involved in their communities & what their elected leaders are doing.

Oh, good luck on your home purchase.... It pays to do your homework on your future home & also the community where it's located. A nice home in a bad area can be a nightmare. GOOD LUCK

Well good morning MCF and BBMike your back again!! Hope you can hang out for awhile, I always enjoy the posts you do. They are so full of life and inspiration.

I finally have gotten back to work now since being home from Oct- Dec. got a work related DVT and that sucks.
I have been able to keep active now at work, won't be dong anymore of the stuff that got me into this situation before.
However I am very thankful to be alive and kicking too.
Good to see these updates and all you all that need a few prayers know that you are on my list. Barb has been for some time! AND Space as well BBM. However remember to also thank the good Lord as well " Thank you Lord for the Blessings you have bestowed upon me my family, friends and everyone on the MCF"
