Default Cadillac's strange tendencies

Just have a quick question...why in the world did cadillac put the battery underneath the back seat? I find that a little odd and annoying.

less heat, better insulated, more space under the hood, better weight distribution.... but i've noticed that the batteries in the caddys and the 00-05 lesabres/bonnevilles just seem to last longer than others, maybe its just my perception, but it does just seem to me that more of these cars are getting the original batteriesreplaced later in life than other cars.

actually you might find it annoying, But reality alot of cars did this back in the day , they were there or under the floor borads.
the new 300c has it in the trunk.

it is nice as someone that has to jump start a car you dont have to get right up on the cars front end to so you can jump it off.

as far as the bat. lasting longer i have noticed this also. seem to get alot less issues with them being there and also if you have them in the trunk they seem to giv e you less issues. im almost positive the heat/cold has alot to do with that.
