Hi Guys,

I'm having some issues with my car lighting but can't sort out if it is with my bulb or ballast. When I checked online, saw a blog post on the same, https://undergroundlighting.com/blog...-bulb-goes-out and. But none of the issues listed in this post are not related to my bulb or ballast.

Does anyone have anything more to suggest than the things suggested in the above post? It would be great if you could suggest a solution too.

Personally I've had my fill of HIDs. Way back in the day I got an aftermarket kit from a friend with a lifetime warranty (he was a local dealer). I went through probably 3 bulbs and 2 ballasts through the years, but he had huge numbers of kits, so I'd just swap parts as needed to troubleshoot.

After he stopped carrying them, I switched the the DDM kits for awhile. I had 3 different cars on the same bulb/ wattage, so I bought a spare kit in the fear that they would be discontinued. I ended up using 1 bulb and 1 ballast from that kit across several years.

Now the only things I've got HIDs on are my vette and Edge (both factory setups). Luckily the vette has never went out (granted its only got 50k on it), but Ive had 2 bulb failures in the Edge over 130k miles (just replaced the 2nd one a few weeks ago - on the same side I'd replaced originally - the OEM replacement bulb didn't even make it 30k miles).

I'm planning on staying away from them if at all possible in the future.
