Default Bought a new TV

Went out to HH Gregg last Saturday and bought a 55" LG LED 3D HDTV. Wow that alot of description. Anyways it was about twice what I had planned on spending but it will come from my tax check. It came bundled witht the 3d glassses and a 3D blu-ray player. Watched 2 3d movies so far and it is pretty cool. So much depth in the screen. Saw Captain America and the Green lantern. lantern was pretty cool. Anyone else have a 3d and like it? I never thought I would buy one. Next time you are in a place like HH Gregg, check out the viewers they have set up. Anyways, just thought I would share. Haven't seen any 3d discussions. Any suggestions for 3d movies??

Too expensive for me, I personally like the 3D TVs without the need of 3D glasses.
Those are just as expensive I assume.

Black Friday just around the corner i've been look for a sweet deal for one in our bedroom.
I currently have a 42 1080 120hz insignia, pretty happy with it.

any time i'm in best buy i always take a look at the 3d tvs. They are really cool and amusing, but i dont see myself owning one anytime soon. I do have an LED tv and its super thin and has an amazing picture. Sits here on my desk in my bedroom next to my laptop. Samsung 19" not big, but perfect size for where it is

I wear glasses and putting 3D glasses on over glasses is too uncomfortable. I'm not sold enough on 3D to put up with it. It's neat in the store but I don't think it's for me until they do away with having to wear 3D glasses.

Congrats, Jerry! I've been tempted to get a 3D set, but still feel the sting of jumping on a plasma set before they 'perfected' the technology. I paid $4,000 for a set (Samsung 40") and the sound went out 2 weeks after the warranty expired. I had that repaired ($500) and 3 months later the whole set went dead. The parts and labor to repair it ($1200) was out of the question so I ended up buying an LCD set to replace it. The other bad thing about it was it created a lot of RF interference and wiped out the receive on my amateur radios. I had to unplug the TV whenever I wanted to get on the radio just so I could hear other stations. I hope you get many years of trouble free viewing from your new TV!

Congrats on the new purchase!

Personally I'm not digging the 3d until they either make it glasses free, or start televising events with it frequently.
