Same here Amy. We got about 7 inches of snow last night and this morning. On top of the roughly 6 inches we already had on the ground. But the wind last night created snow drifts that were deeper than the 7 inches that actually fell. I imagine that's what happened with you too.

How much snow do you actually have in your yard now Amy?

I haven't been home yet - I've been stuck at my Dad's house - about 15 miles south east of where I live. It looks like in the pictures my fiance took, the whole back yard is a big snow drift about 4 feet high. I think we got around 2 feet of snow before the drifting.

I think it is too Jon. lol. A former moderator who lived in Texas (he sold his monte for a Honda Pilot) used to say my car was covered in whipped cream.

Speaking of Chicago. I saw video on the news today of people being blown down the streets of Chicago last night. Unbelievable amount of snow your dad has.

The pics I posted is of my house in Wauconda - I didn't take pics of where my dad lives - he lives in a townhouse and the association plows the driveways. They started at 3am this morning (my old bedroom faces the street) and they still need to come back and clean up the rest.

Sorry for any confusion - the pics I posted my fiance took of the house we live in together in Wauconda, IL. I have been stuck at my Dad's townhouse in Wheeling, IL and I haven't posted any pics of his property.

grand total we got so far this year 60.4 inches, obviously melting and packing we don't have 5+ ft snow pack it's probably 2-3ft thick pack and end of driveways are a good 6ft tall

Here are some pics from our blizard in MN in dec when we got 17+ inches in a day
