What an exciting Bi-monthly contest it's been, and it's not even over. We had 7 awesome submissions and decent voter turn out that resulted in a tie. According to the sacred rules, we must try one attempt at a one-day tie-breaker vote between winning finalists.

 

I'm assuming I didn't earn myself a disqualification by starting this thread too early this morning. Sorry about that if you noticed - that was embarrassing! My thinking was that I was trying to be pro-active and get the thread ready before the slow weekend traffic on the forum. It's been a great contest and I really thank all submitting members. In a way it's disappointing to end it on a one-day vote - only because members often miss the vote completely. So hopefully we see a decent voter turn out Friday night/ Sat morning and still not steal thunder from the MOTM voting

That's a perfect pic you submitted Matt. It belongs on the cover of a magazine or something. You got the car from the best angle, shot from the ground and remembered to turn the wheels slightly towards facing the camera. There isn't a single piece of photography advise I could offer you! Keane and Greg both had near perfect pics (IMO), but didn't receive the advantage of the elements working for them (Greg needed wind, Keane's one cloud was lonely) - been there! My sky's always suck. But Matt's shot was awesome.

Great contest. My streak ended on a great note. I hope we can keep this going with such fantastic contributions. What's the next theme Matt?

Thanks guys, I just saw this!

The next theme will be - parking structures - so a picture of your car featuring a parking structure in some form, whether you're inside the structure or outside around it. When do submissions for the next theme start and do I create the submissions thread or is that someone else's job?

 

Normally, the winner is supposed to start the thread Matt. But Barb has often started the thread for me while I wondered what was going on. Having done this a few times, I gots it figured out now and have started the new thread for you here.
