I feel like the advantage of naming the challenge is huge now. Sorta cheap. I was just flipping through old photos, looking for cool ones that I've never used before. I took this shot the summer when doing the "Bridges" challenge. I left this on the cutting room floor because I am unable to find any of the history on this old train tunnel on Thames St in London Ontario. The headstone sez 1889, but I found nothing. Lame.

It kind of a cool shot. I have other shots further back with a train passing overhead, but the tree overgrowth pretty much covered everything anyways so I went with the close-up. It's one of those shots where I have to shut the car off (headlights) in the middle of the road in traffic to get.

I'm sorry I had to be so specific in theme naming, but I don't know what else I'd call this shot, and I wanted to use it. I know there are cooler tunnels to be shot. Whatchoo got?

Cool shot!

I would love to get a moving at speed shot in a tunnel in Raliegh or Richmond but I don't know how to get except being in another car. Walking into one of those tunnels would be a death sentence!

Wink

You might need to find a local Park sometimes they might have a Tunnel.
There used to be one In Omaha, NE they called it the terrible tunnel people were always wrecking in it. It was real narrow.
I looked up tunnels in NE and there is an old abandoned train tunnel way out west, but other than the train it might be on horse back or walk to get to it.
However there are some ideas to explore here??

Smile My Idea

Ok so as I indicated earlier the Tunnels in Nebraska are not very accessible don't know if there is even one nearby, after an exhaustive search.
But I did find this one.
Back in the day when I could see real good without glasses I did a lot of Scale Modeling, when you travel as a Sales Rep. and your not a big Bar hopper and drinker you need a Hobby.
I even started an IPMS club in Central Nebraska.
So when the kids were younger they started their Mom out with Dept. 56 ceramic houses and I built her a display base for them that sat on the entertainment center.
Now long gone as we have the Flat Screen TV's.
Still have the displays and it has a Tunnel, and I own the Black Monte in the photo. Couldn't find anything in the rules about not going miniature with an entry. So I will try this one.

Hey, as long as you own that scale Monte Carlo! Awesome pic! It's even got some Christmas flavor to it. Thanks for keeping the thread/ contest going.

Who's next? Any more "outside-the-box" thinkers?

Last day for submissions. Something tells me that this won't be #1 priority for many today...
