Bermuda Triangle storm Pictures
Back in 1978 while on the USS Orion We went for R&R to Bermuda from the Charleston naval base. we never made it we where caught in a gale half way there.
The Orion took rolls within 2 degrees of the Max roll she could take before capsizing. The captain got on the intercom and prayed for safe passage
Picture of how big our ship was to give you an Idea of the size of waves we took on
The front end of the ship was going under the waves. We bent a propeller shaft and where taking on water _ All in all was a fine ride Courtesy of the US Navy (LOL)
What did we do? we turned around to go back home and went through the storm a second time
The storm

>Thanks `Tadd 4-Sharing<
Thanks `Tadd for posting & sharing Again, Thank you for your service to your country.
Yes the Old man of the sea's of the Atlantic can be super powerful & dangerous. Many have lost their life's in the open sea's where waves can get over 50 feet +.
I know I've been scared so many times when I was with my grandfather at sea during bad storms & high sea's. It was a good scare & sometimes I wonder how we made it back to port. It was some great adventures 4-Sure!
Thankfully, you lived through your Navel experiences & I'm sure you still have some bad memories, but also some great ones....

Bad memories have sorta faded from memory now Space. Looking back it was all good
Would do it again. Funny while I was posting this I thought you may have had some of the same experiences out to sea

Hi `Tadd,
It's great to read that the bad memories have faded or have been blocked by mind control. I know that my grandfather does not like
to talk about his time in Vietnam in the early 60's, or his numerous medals he has received for his combat duty.
A few of his friends have told me about his service. I'm just super proud of him as a person.
Thanks for thinking of me, but I wish that during those storms I would have been on your large vessel or ship Sometimes a small vessel or ship can endure better, but that depends on the type of powerful waves & their depth. I love being @ sea & really enjoy the ports when we hit dry land.
It's amazing what humans can survive, but it pays to learn before you head out in any body of water. Now, I even enjoy a row boat in the Indian River, & just fishing with a fishing pole (lol)
I'm now over a quarter of a century old & starting to mature (lol)...
Wish you a Happy time `off & I hope that you can extract the best from your `day >`Life>4-Sure<>EnJoy<
Is it lunch time yet ? >

Yep I almost got busted by the Master of arms for taking those as the weather deck was restricted during the storm
My buddys tied a rope around my skinny waste and handed me cameras. I took care of that master at Arms pay records -so I got off with a stern reprimand
