Question Belaire Concept Car from 2002

This is a pretty neat web site that I go to some times' "Serious Wheels" There are some amazing vehicles on this site. I spotted this one the other day and was surprised to find out that GM considered this. To me it resembles the T-Bird that Ford tried to resurrect. What do you think ?

I kinda like it. But I wouldn't buy that. I like what they were trying and I think they got close. Need shaper lines (like Cadillacs today) and that front clip is totally gay or efeminite anyways....

It does look like it should compete with the Thunderbird. Without anyone to compete with now, there's no point in making it. Unless they updated the frontend and put it on the Kappa platform. Then it might be interesting.

GM waved this car under our noses for some time.

Will they build it? Won't they? Back and forth. Back and forth. It got to be a pain just hearing about it again.

Some asked if they did build it, would I buy one?

I don't like it at all. It has nothing reminiscent about the classic Bel Air.

I actually liked the Thunderbird more, but both designs need to be more street-rod-ish. Whoever came up with the new Camaro should have a crack at it...

Default belaire........

....Thanks for all your comments. There seems to be a overwhelming dislike for what GM came up with. I think it would be neat if they did bring back the Belaire but make a little bit bigger and incorporate designs from the 50's with some sharper lines maybe. Maybe even offer a version with the same engine (v-8) that the Camaro has. It's a good idea but a whimpy design.
