Question Batmobile Creator George Barris Dies at 89

Some of us remember the TV show Batman from the 60's, it was pretty hoakie compared to the Batman of today However the Batmobile was a really cool custom car. Made by the legendary George Barris.
Well George passed away now he was 89 years old.
I think there was 7 or 8 of these made I used to see them at the world of wheels car shows they had one that looked like it was covered in Black Felt, I guess they used it in the show to make it easier to film. Not sure why. But it was a cool ride.

Truly a huge icon in the custom car world - probably the biggest. That guy had a lot of crazy ideas that he made a reality and I don't know if we'll ever see another like him. I met him at a car show once before - he really liked to get out there, be involved and meet fans. It's sad to hear of his passing, but he is immortalized with the work/art that he did in his time on earth.

RIP
