That old saying "this too shall pass" ......i never thought it meant the good times will pass. Please keep my bro-in-law in your prayers. He's just been diagnosed with a rare and incurable disease called amiliodosis. He's a Monte nut, big Nascar fan of Dale and Little E, Bears fan, and just all 'round good dude. He's only 45. He and my sister have a 9-yr old son.

Krsytal,
Life is fragile, and I was sorry to read your post about your
brother in law : (
I researched thedisease, and contained a link below.
I`ve learned early in my lifethat no one is promised a tomorrow,
and we each must extract the most from each day.
I hope that you, and family stay strong, and share your
support and love. Cherish each day with those you love.
Everyones `journey comes to a end, and we never know when.
Wish you Peace/Love/Understanding of events in life
that are out of your control.
Life sometimes, just never seems `fair to many.
I pray your brother in law gets the best doctors, and care
to assist him on his disease.
~ Peace to all ~

Shannon, we are sorry to hear about your brother-in-law. We will put him in our prayers. What is his name so we can be specific in our prayer requests?
Prayers DO work, if you believe in God AND Jesus Christ. Our Pastor of our Church was diagnosed with Luekemia, but because he was born in Korea, and is half Korean, the chance of finding a donor for the needed bone marrow transplant was one in a million, one in a billion, zero to none, it aint goin to happen! Guess what? Mayo Clinic FOUND that donor, a perfect match 10 out of 10, gender type, AND blood type! Prayers DO work! He was just tested and told his body is now producing 100% of the donors blood! Thank you Lord! Next step is at day 100, when he gets tested again to see if he is cancer free (middle of December).
My point is, prayers DO work, but I would suggest that he gets in at Mayo Clinic, which is the #1 facility all around in EVERYTHING, and let THEM make those diagnoses, but never stop believing and PRAYING that they find a way to control these protien buildups in his body.

Thank you dustybird3, Enzo354, Taz, Cort, Space and Wayne. I'll pass your words on to Jeff. We have gone thru shock, denial, sorrow, anger, and now acceptance in 36 hours. Now he's ready to fight. Wayne, in fact he's scheduled a trip to Mayo in Minnesota for more tests and an aggresive treatment program. I've seen payers and positive thinking work miracles. My mom 100% recovered from heart failure. My dad was coded at the hospital, he's now back home and enjoying life. My friend's husband just returned from a 1-yr tour in Iraq.

When you can say the MCF has your back, you are in good hands.

I will keep him in my prayers as well. Last year I lost both my grandmother and uncle from cancer within 2 months of each other. It was hard, very trying. While i was deployed 5 months ago i lost my other grandmother as well. It is very hard.. alot of people dont know what its like to loose family. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Prayers DO work.

I'm sure you've seen me post my oldest sister had Leukemia. She is now 100% cured. Not one year after her bone marrow transplant my dad was on the operating table for a triple bypass. They found out while he was laying there on the operating table he needed a quadruple bypass.

Only by the grace of God is my family whole. HE was kind enough to provide a donor for my sister. None of us were even 50% compatable to her. But a man in TX was 80%.

Please tell your brother in law do not give up hope.
