Been to Iraq twice but I wouldn't say I was involved in any airplane combat. Define airplane combat. Because I haven't heard of any "dogfights" in years. There's plenty of aerial support and reconnaissance but no specific air to air combat that I'm aware of.

 

Do you know anything about it ,or know anyone that would know about it.

 

I guess he just needs to know more about the planes. Not the fighting. Trying to figure it out myself. Do you have any plane knowledge?

Hmm I was a 2T2 (air transportation) in the Air Force. I worked in the passenger terminal, ATOC, fleet, and flight line. I'm intimately familiar with our cargo aircraft, C-17's, C-130's, C-5's, C-141's... I wasn't around the combat aircraft much though.
