Default any electricians here?

am having problems that have been plauging my house, i live in a house that was built in the 60's and wired in 64, the problem is 1/2-3/4 of the place the power will flicker and glitch sometime lossing power for a few hours (like tonight),
i have tried moving fuses around, pulled main power fuses and swaped them aroind and flipped main braker at the pole(source for whole propety) to see if that made a difference which it has not, my next step is replacing them, i have tried to pinpoint by unpluging just about everything and no change... wierd thing is it tends to happen at night, any idea's, advice anything? good news is the outlet for my stove and fridge isn't affect neither is my furnace so food stays cold and house stays warm,

(disclaimer) I'm not an electrician, but if you have the know how to replace a breaker you should feel safe with this.

Check every outlet on the flickering leg for a loose connection to the house wiring. All it takes is one wire to cause it (and there are 4 - two in & two out one each one).

Happened to me. Good thing to catch before more problems set in, like igniting, flaming, fleeing etc.

Whats your wire made of? I beleive in 1967 the use of aluminum wire in trailer houses was banned because the wire would shrink over time from heat. Im not sure if aluminum wire was used in regular homes but it would be worth checking into. Loose wires cause shock and/or fire. Be safe man.

I have the ut most respect for electricity! the checking will comence... this place is sooo jacked up not only do i have outlets in the walls, i have outlets in the ceiling above the false ceiling, some have been chabged over to feed light switches, i have light switches that i have no idea what they control, and still have no idea, i have i think 3-4 outlets that don't work in the living room, i wish i owned this place becuase i would just rewire it all, starting to think i might anyways $ off rent, new breaker box and all, get rid of these old school fuses
