For those who don't know. Last thursday was my B-day. I turned 51. (FIF-T-WONE)
(AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH,............. ..... I'm too young to be this freakin' old!!!!!)

As a present from my eye doctor, I got...........



My very first pair. EVER!

I don't need them full time as my eyes are still pretty good. I just have to use them for reading. (even though I can still see the print pretty good)

If there was EVER a time in my life I looked like my dad, it just happened. (that sobbing you hear in the background is me)

Getting used to wearing the glasses is a pain. She wants me to wear them as much as possible for 14 days till I get used to them. But I don't like them.

The most I ever wore was.... (almost 100% like these)



For those of you in your 20s say in to early 30s years of age, make the most of it.
I went to bed one night I was 25. I woke up the next day and I was 50.
Just letting you know it can happen to you, too.

You wanna hear something that will make you feel really old? Im not even 20 yet. Want to hear something else? My dad isnt even 50 yet. Im sorry I had to do it. Happy belated birthday tho. Just remember, as long as you are young at heart, you never really grow old.

 

RJ are those bifocals??!! J/K.
I am very near sighted and I have been wearing glasses since I was in 6th grade and I am going to be 38 in Aug, so that is quite along time. My close distance is still good but I am probably not too far off of bifocals for me LOL. I don't know if working on a computer 8+ hours a day helps either. You are very lucky to be starting to wear glasses at age 51.
BTW those are cool frames! My script is so strong that I can't have that type of frame. The most I can go is rimless on the bottom and I have to get the thinnest lens they make.

 

rj, you're only as old as you feel. and with all those toys in your backyard, you can't feel much older than 21

my dad is going to be 57 this year, and he still tells everyone he's 39. you could always go that route!!
