Most of the jokes on the original Loony Tunes cartoons were puns and jokes above kids heads.

And I guess you could add WWE wrestling in the category too, Cort.

The Flintstones were supposed to be an adult animated sitcom loosely based on the Honeymooners. There are similarities between Ralph Crampton and Fred Flintstones.

Anyone ever watch "Rocko's Modern Life" as a kid?

I did...

Watch it now...And you'll be surprised. It is one of the most perverted shows I have EVER seen.
