Ricky zooming to his daughter's house in the Monte. Passes an unmarked Statie in a Dark Gray Impala. Grill, side mirror and flip-down sun visor blue strobes suddenly light-up in my mirrors.
I do all the right stuff pulling-over and giving the nice young Trooper my license and papers.

"What's the rush, today, Mr. Massey?"
"I left my wifes knitting bag over at the Hospital."
"What's the rush to go and get this bag?"
"She's all upset with me because her medications and her wig are in the bag.
We can get the prescriptions refilled easy enough. But, the wig is real human hair."
(He looked at me and I started thinking of my late mother.)
He hands me all the paperwork back and tips his Hat back a bit.
"Calm down. Slow down. Don't be in such a rush. Go get your stuff and get home safely. OK?"
"Yep. I can do that."

It happened in 2009. So, I'm in the running for an Oscar.

 

wow thats awesome reminds me of the time i got pulled over for spinning my tires at a stop light, officer pulled me over asked what i was doing, than walked to the back of my car & said he could still smell the tires burning (now my car is front wheel drive??) than he walked back up & as he was doin all that i unplugged my trac control switch so it wouldnt work & used that as an excuse as to why i spun rubber lol it totally worked

Every time i see and Impala or Crown Vic i slow down.
I don't know why but its almost like a reflex, i just slow down ..hahah i am traumatized.

In reality I do not speed. Not bragging or anything, I can not afford a ticket of any kind. PLUS............ my money is just as good in my pocket as it is the cop's.

 

Good job Rick, I hardly ever get out of a traffic ticket.

Funny thing when I first got my Z28 the SCHP were using Camaros as their "fast attack" cars, on the interstates people just moved out of my way. Now when MOST people see a silver car (SCHP cars are silver BTW...duh!) in the rearview they move over too, not real concerned in what make/model it is... Especially with my mom's Impala

 

Brian, i bet you usually get to where ever you go, ON TIME.
That would be nice, have everyone get out of your way for no reason lol.
But you are right though, because I've noticed that the Impalas and Crown Vics I DO SLOW DOWN for are usually not even cops Haha, just normal citizens who know that people do move or slow down/change lanes whenever they come through.
Its a little nice perk i would say.

 

unless my radar detector goes off i dont slow down when i see a crown vic or a impala i just keep goin lol

 

I would say your lucky. 25 over in South Dakota is a $200.00 + fine.

If if see a Navy Blue Impala, I slow down, and try and get a glance at the side to see if its got the black steel wheels. Crown Vics I always slow down for, because 95% of them around here are cops...
