Is this a really old article? Couldn't see a post date on my Android phone, but LSs have been in the 5s for half a decade now - Id bet they've been in the 6s like this article talks about for probably almost 20 at this point.

It is kinda neat to see they did it on a stock block- you don't see that much anymore. Granted its filled iron, but still neat. Seems like most anyone going for 1250-1500+ reliably is going full aftermarket these days.
