Unexpected car repairs are not only inconvenient, they also can be costly. Rather than putting strain on your budget, why not choose a car that is more reliable? CarMD.com, which tracks car repair data, has identified the most reliable car companies.
The 2013 CarMD Vehicle Health Index is based on 151,000 specific repairs performed on 2003-2013 model-year cars and trucks from Oct. 1, 2012 to Sept. 30, 2013 and identified the following manufacturers as top car companies in reliability.

Top 6 sporty used cars under $25,000

Buying a sporty car doesn't mean you have to overspend. By choosing a quality used car, you can buy the car you want without the high price. We asked ALG, which calculates car values for dealers and lenders, to calculate the average values for affordable sporty cars in average condition that are 5 years old or less. Here, we list the top sporty used cars priced below $25,000.
As with any used car, it's a wise idea to get the car thoroughly inspected. It's also a good idea to look into mechanical breakdown insurance or an extended warranty.

What?!?!?! The top 5 and not a Ford in sight? I guess the charade is finally over.

The biggest surprise (to me) is that Mopar actually made the list. They've had so many reliability problems with their cars/trucks lately I figured they would rate high on the most unreliable cars list...

Surprised to see Hyundai on the list and Mopar on the list. I would have thought Ford's were more reliable than Mopar by far.

Otherwise, the list seems pretty spot on.
