Default 3800zx :)

Hey Guys....

Well, I have some AWSOME news. I picked up a sweet car yesterday and started working on it. I scored a running 1980Datsun 280zx to the tune of 400.00. I started her up and drove her home. Pretty good shape for a 1980. The floors arent bad and the body is almost all straight. Here are a few pictures:

...now for the awsome news
This pig is getting a transplant....
3800 L67

As you can see, the interior is out as of last night. Now its time to break out the plasma cutter and start welding in the new aluminum tubs and getting all the chasis squared away.

This will be the thread where i post all the progress of project 3800zx

Stay tuned.

Nice find. Sounds like a cool project. I worked on one of those at work one time, same color and all. They are neat little cars.

and it was AWESOME : )
Good Luck on your Project
The Datsun Z V-8 conversion is a popular swap. The Chevrolet small block fits in the engine compartment so well, one wonders if Datsun had dreams of installing the Chevrolet V-8, but
with the price of fuel, a 3800 should make a

Are you building the whole motor from the bottom up or are you using a stock bottom end?
