2015 Mustang, First Look
Well as the residetn Mustang man...
I like my body style better... but I'm biased.... 1) I own one and 2) I like the retro design anyway, since I was a big fan of the 67-68 fastback, along with the '69 design fastback as a second favorite... so the retro is "all me"
I like the front end... the back end I'm told is going to be revised a bit so the lights "pinch outwards" more like the current body style does.... the roof nad window line should do a lot to eliminate a rather major blind spot the 05-14 has.... so I think that's a good move from that perspective.
I think the biggest thing that everyone appreciates is the move to independent rear suspension... it would be nice for these cars to feel like they're actually connected to the road when your'e in a hard turn!
As far as the styling as a whole... I heard someone call it the "bastard child of a Fusion and a Camaro." I think the car keeps a lot of the Mustang heritage alive though . And if you want to see what is meant by the Camaro... go google for a picture of the quarter fenders from the front corner of the car... looks exactly like a Camaro....
As far as a 4 cylinder goes.. Mustangs ran 4 cylinders in the Mustang II design in 74 and the Fox body's of the late 70s to 93 body had 4 cylinders.... and they're drag strip material these day.s
Look forward to seeing it on the road soon.... as that will start making my body style look dated! AHA!

The front end reminds me of there other cars they need to set the Mustang apart not to make them the same looking as all the rest of there line up!
I wasn't really sure about it to begin with but I gotta say the more I look at it the more I like it. The front I think looks way more aggressive. I think I still need to see it in person to make sure I like it. But so far I'm diggin' it.
Too tall person adding two cents. I shop for cars like I buy shoes - first I ask what you got that fits a 14? Then try on what fits...
While taking delivery of an '04 Expedition (meaning: waiting around while the dealer added options get added) My daughter and I sat in and critiqued every car in the showroom. The new Mustang was a heck of a looker and I told the teenager that I loved the car ever since I begged my parents to buy a Mustang back in 67 (bah! Old man bought a 4 door Fairlane).
Did own a 79 Fox body Capri back in the day. Yep, 4 banger with a slush box. Nice looker but would not pass a Mazda GLC.
Back to trying on cars at Bob Lynch Ford (drive a little and save a lot in friendly Gilroy) Sadness set in when I got behind the wheel of the 'stang. No headroom for me. Reclining the seat would make room but then I could not easily reach the dash. Now the roofline is even lower?
Nice to look at but not the car for me. The new Camaro is a good fit though...

Eh it's alright, not amazing though; it'll have to grow on me. I'd love to see one of these in person. I can say the car's rear shoulder, roof line, and rear window contour screams late 60's fastback; the first thing I noticed when I saw a rear 3/4 shot of the car.
I agree with Duane - I like the styling of the 13-14 Stangs better but it's not as bad as I thought. But I would really need to see it in person to really make up my mind.
So far I don't really like the look of it. I like the previous body style much more. However I am more curious about the ecoboost 4 and how quick it is and all that.
