The lights on the Geneva Motor Show floor have barely cooled, and already we're on to the next one: the New York Auto Show. One of the most most potentially interesting not-completely-new cars there will be the refreshed 2014 Camaro, confirmed today.

According to the New York International Auto Show's latest newsletter, the new Camaro "advances the design and performance attributes that have made it the most popular sports car under $50,000 for three consecutive years."

What exactly that might entail isn't at all clear, but aesthetic updates are almost certain, and other potential upgrade areas for the 2014 Camaro include the suspension and wheel/tire packages. We aren't expecting any more power from the V-6, V-8, or supercharged ZL1.

On the other hand, a document that surfaced (and quickly disappeared) late last year indicated the Camaro
could be getting twin-turbo V-6 and LS7 engine optionsfor 2014.

Interior upgrades are also likely, as
Chevy seeks to extend the Camaro's attractiveness to buyers as it reaches the middle of its model cycle. <!-- rendering content took 345.20888328552ms -->

The only thing that will make me wait, is if they turn Purple into a color option for 2014.

I'm not going to buy my 2013 until I see what the refresh entails... but I really doubt they will do enough change to make me wait.

There are thousands of Camaros here in LaLa land. In fact, they are getting boring.

I know that many members say that their community or city has an ample presence of Monte's....

But here in LA, 6+ or 7th Gen Montes are few and far between.

Needless to say, I get more compliments than I can handle when I hit the streets here.

There are plenty of people who have never seen my Gen of Monte.

This is the tease shot so that second photo is pretty much right on. Have to say I'm less of a fan of that than the current look.

They already released half of the new Camaro. They just stuck it on the butt of the new Corvette...

Not a fan of chrome on modern cars. Wheels, yes. The thin chrome strip above the grille... ...just looks like one of those last minute add ons.
