I saw you didn't mention the Dodge Intrepid police vehicle. Most cop cars around here are Intrepids or Impalas, see a few Crown Vic's, and I saw one Charger. I'm looking forward to 2011 when the Taurus comes in, wonder if they'll be using the twin-turbo charged Taurus SHO, 365HP in a V6 with AWD, what a cop car, if they allow it.

I've seen a few 4th gen camaro cops in NY. Those suckers were fast.

 

I had heard a while back that Ford was killing the Crown Vic around 2011. Didn't know they were going with the Taurus though.

The local (Windsor) police have been testing some Chargers for the past year or so. They told the local media that they're not really happy with them though. Too many blind spots for their taste. Plus a few other dislikes I can't think of right now. They still use mostly Crown Vics.

One thing that GM could do with that new Caprice police car. Make a very close civilian version, like Ford did. Ford made the Mercury Murauder. It was as close to the police Crown Vic as you could buy from Ford. There's one around here locally. All black. Looks bad ***!

I've been looking at used Caprice / 94-96 Impala SS's for a cheaper alternative for a 5.7L than the 4th Gen Camaro / TA / Firebird

But those suckers are running like 8k!!! It's crazy.

 

There's a guy that used to live near me that has one of those 94-96 Impala's. He completely riced it out. Bad body kit, huge wing, stripes that look like the front of that one Van Halen CD (can't remember the title), a bunch of tuner-style stickers, then put 26" rims on it. So yeah, it's lifted.

I refuse to take a picture of it. It's a shame what he did to it.

I'll stick to looking for my V8 Camaro if that's the case.
