So about 3 weeks ago I was at the junkyard and came across a 2001 gtp with a functional hood. So I bought it! I couldn't resist a good deal $48.00. I was going to sell it, but then i seen some nice looking gtp's with that hood online. So yesterday I went on online and found a 2001 gtp special edition with 46000 miles 1 owner at the dealership it was originally purchased at with all service records. It was a 160 mile drive so I called first and tried to haggle over the phone when it was priced at 7900. My wife being an ex- car sales women said let me talk to him. Next thing I know she says he will call back the always do. 4 hours later no call so I called........SOLD!! So disappointed it was such a nice looking car great condition like new. When we got home from paying some bill I had to go outside and take it out on the weeds in the flower beds. Anyways the hood is now sitting on the monte while I wait for a wire harness for the swap from a 3.4 to 3.8 SC. Here are some pics. DON'T LET THE WIFE NEGOTIATE.

 

Wow that sucks dude. Cool hood though. Nothing like some yard work to get some stress relief.

 

how far are you into the swap? im doing it myself and im getting ready too pull the engine

 

I got the engine sitting in the compartment. I'm waiting on a wiring harness from morad since the 2 extras that I have don't work I have a harness from a 98 gtp and a 2000 grand prix gt but they don't connect to the anti-lock brake so I order a harness from an 04 monte intimidator hopefully this one works I'm about $450 into wiring harnesses. Feel free to pm me with any questions. I have ran into more problems with the swap then expected. I think I'm almost done.
