Unhappy 2000 post comes with some Bad News

Well I have been waiting to say something until I knew for sure. I have one week left with the monte and then the new owners are taking it. The threat of a job loss is making me decide to be proactive and sell the monte off. There is some good news as the buyers are my parents. That means she is gone for now. My mom's job with the district is being cut at the end of the year. She retired 2 years ago and has been working back part time. With that money she has been paying her mustang gt payment. Well my parents decided they needed to cut their payments and get a car she can drive in the snow. I am having to front money to cover the difference between what the wholesaler is giving them and what they owe. This move will save me 350.00 a month including insurance and will make the suburban my daily driver for now. I am selling the monte to them for 7800.00. This takes her payment from 430.00 to 180.00. This will help them out a bunch. This means they will get to put the miles on the car and then down the road if I want to buy it back I can. If not then I will pull the intake, taillights, and other parts off. For now they will stay on for my mom to enjoy.

I DON'T PLAN ON LEAVING THE MCF FAMILY ANYTIME SOON. (Capitalized for Justin ) I have decided on my next car and may purchase it this summer if I get to keep my job. I am buying an 1998 - 2001 LS1 Camaro or Firebird. I want to thank everyone for all of their advice and opinions over the last 16 months I have owned the Monte. I will still get to drive her once and awhile so all is not lost.

Thanks Again for everything.

Justin I went and capitalised that part of the post, but the answer is no I am not leaving. I will have another monte sooner or later. Either an 1985 SS, a 6th gen supercharged, or my white 6th gen back in a couple of years.

Hi Teacher `Todd,
I can relate to your decision 4-Sure
I think it will be good 4 U & also your parents.
"We all got 2 `do, what we all got 2 `do 2 survive
in our World 2day"

I'm sure you will also get another Monte Carlo 4-Sure : )
Once you have one, U R addicted : )
You may have to go through Monte Carlo Withdrawels
when you depart with your Monte, but you
will always keep dreaming of getting another one.

Fortunately, yours is staying in the family
Also, we are happy 2 read that you are not thinking
of departing your Monte Carlo Friends.
(It makes the withdrawels alittle easier: )
`Todd, we wish you the best and appreciate
all your contributions & dedication to the MCF.
Peace/Health/Happiness
to `you & member's.

Thanks Space and all of the Bums and Seniors. It means a lot.

JJ, It is for the best. My house is priority number 1 and if I keep my job then I will be money ahead and if I get laid off again then I will be able to be in a better situation to handle it. Hope your move goes well.

Got to keep your house.... I'll be entering the teaching field in a couple of years and I hope all of this is over for awhile when I get there! Best of luck, Todd!

I'm so sorry you had to sell the Monte. I am glad that it is going to your parents, and I know they will take good care of it.
