1st gen ipod nano recall!
i think mine is a 4gb and has some of my old music on it! ipods last forever as long as you take care of them. my mini can only turn on if its plugged in so its not portable anymore but it still works!
BWAHAHA!!!
This is sweet!! I got my nano right around aug. of 06 and about a year ago, i sold it to my sister for $50 and got me one of those new ipod touch's
Soon as I got the email from apple, i called her up to make sure she still has/uses it. She uses it when she runs, and after a half hour it needs so be charged again. Told her how I can send it in and get a new one--or at least a new battery put in the old one, and now everyone's happy
why can't everything go this way?¿?¿

yeah thats not the first gen one. the first gens were White or black with the chrome backs. with all this music comming out so fast ipods fill up so fast!
yeah i figured it wasn't. omg i know! my bro has a 8GB ipodtouch & that's not even enough. its ridiculous!
Too bad I don't have a 1st Gen to take advantage of this. Maybe they will do it with other models someday. my son has a nano with a camera and the older kids have the ipod touch. I'd like to get an Iphone sometime soon tho.
No doubt. when I sold my nano, i got a 32gb touch just so i could store my whole library on it so if i ever needed a particular song, i could just go through the library and pick it. Now i find myself with just 6gb left
I do however have all the high-res pictures of the monte, some apps, and a couple videos.just an FYI -- It's not like an incentive program to get all the older ipods to go away, it's because the battery overheats and has potential to causes problems as the battery gets older. (just wanted to clarify and not sound contradicting) I'd kill for an iphone too, but they're pretty spendy, not to mention having to get a smartphone plan
