Thats how many members we have . And its always the same ones that are on here most of the time. I bet its not more then 20 members that are on here most of the time. .Thats just sad . If all those members were on. I don't think we'd ever be able to read it all. Can you see how the MORNING BLOG WOULD BE ? yOU;D BE ON HERE FOR HRS JUST READING THE MORNING BLOG. I agree with you. Unfortunately every site is like that. The longer a site is in existence, the bigger that number will be. The facts are, MCF is 8 years old. And most of the original members are now gone. Mainly because they sold their Monte and felt it was time to move on. The same reason lots of people leave a forum. I left the Grand Am forum I was on when I traded in my GA for the Monte. It was nothing personal.
But we have a unique history here on MCF. We had a complete server meltdown a few years ago. And it took months to get things completely resolved and rebuilt. During that time we lost most of our previous members out of frustration. Including most of the moderators. I was the only moderator left, and was asked to be an admin. But I'm rambling now....
Also, over the years, some people left because of drama from other members. Plus, many times people join a forum and never post. Or they only sign up to use the classified section.
There is also the issue of spammers. Every forum gets hammered by spammers. The 17,952 number you see includes banned members and spammers. We get tons of spammers here on MCF. You don't see 99% of them because of the great job the moderators do, and filters built into the forum's software.
I do agree that it would be nice of the members who left, to come back. They're always welcome. And we'd be happy to see them back on the forum.

Yeah Taz. I understand all that. It's the same in any club. On line or other wise. Maybe not so much in the Bike clubs. Cause your presents are demamded ! But even the chevelle club I belong too is the same way. On line and at meets. Its the same people that are always putting more effort then others. But what do you do ? In any club you always welcome new blood. Cause everyone has a different view of things. And that keep the club moving on I was just amazed at the total of members WE have. Not trying to stir the POT
