- 10 States Most at Risk for Disasters Floods, tornadoes & other disasters can strike anywhere, but some places are truly more prone to calamity than others. I live in one of them

When I watched the news on the latest Tornado's, I seen many
Monte Carlo's destroyed + many collector's lost their dream cars

I'm not sure I'd have put New York in that list. For the most part, New York state as a whole is a pretty safe place when it comes to natural disasters. Yes, we got a lot of snow this past winter, but so did a lot of other places too. While NYC remains one of the top terrorist targets, that's just the city itself, not the entire state. There's a lot of land area north of NYC.
I'd been considering moving to the Raleigh/Durham area of NC (which isn't on this list), but after the tornadoes they had in that area this year, I'm not so sure now.
No surprise that Florida is on the list. As great as it is there during the winter months, with the hurricanes & tornadoes down there, and the difficulty in getting homeowner's insurance because of that, I'm not sure I'd want to live there again.

Life is a Gamble, and so is living in the State of Florida, or really any state...We can't control Mother Nature & the many tragedy's that happen everywhere on Planet `Earth.
Human Life is fragile, no matter where you reside, but some places are more @ risk then others...
I post threads like this to remind member's & myself how fortunate we are `if we have not been affected by tragedy's & to enjoy every day that we are given...

And as of newyork. If she was to get hit by a Cat 3 or higher hurricane...... Now that would be bad. And many scientist predict it will. ( I know iv seen and heard reports on this but i cant find them right now ) Its happen in 1938
