I'm not sure I'd have put New York in that list. For the most part, New York state as a whole is a pretty safe place when it comes to natural disasters. Yes, we got a lot of snow this past winter, but so did a lot of other places too. While NYC remains one of the top terrorist targets, that's just the city itself, not the entire state. There's a lot of land area north of NYC.

I'd been considering moving to the Raleigh/Durham area of NC (which isn't on this list), but after the tornadoes they had in that area this year, I'm not so sure now.

No surprise that Florida is on the list. As great as it is there during the winter months, with the hurricanes & tornadoes down there, and the difficulty in getting homeowner's insurance because of that, I'm not sure I'd want to live there again.

Hi `Mark,
Thanks for your posts & comments.
I've never been to any other state, but I have been to all of them on the net LOL

Life is a Gamble, and so is living in the State of Florida, or really any state...We can't control Mother Nature & the many tragedy's that happen everywhere on Planet `Earth.

Human Life is fragile, no matter where you reside, but some places are more @ risk then others...

I post threads like this to remind member's & myself how fortunate we are `if we have not been affected by tragedy's & to enjoy every day that we are given...
Peace/Happiness & a Safe `Journey in life to the reader of my words....Peace/Out
