Life sure can present some difficult decisions when it comes to getting another vehicle. I can relate to still not having a good place to work
on a car...+ all the tools.
Is there any clubs in your area that have garages ? If so, maybe
you could join and make it a Club member project & drop in a
5.3L V8 : )
I still want a 4th Gen, but I'm not going to get one until I have
a auto bedroom 4 `it : ) My g/f wants me to wait
A truck is good, but the unknown on future fuel prices can
really hurt if it's a monster truck : (
Maybe our Govenment will come up with a program to help you ?
Don't hold your breath . Sure hope things work out 4 U & family.
Hope you can also get a chance to jump in your pool & cool `off.
Wish you the best....4-Sure.....Good Luck
from `Space & Bum's

We had one heck of a thunderstorm this morning before 7am. I was already at work so I didn't have to worry about getting wet.

Now it's heating back up again. And the clouds are coming back. So maybe going to the cruise-in this evening will have to wait.

The problem is that this is a military town and no one stays here long enough to make anything. And the ones that are here, don't even bother. As far as the tools, other then the engine lift, i have everything that i need if we decided on the swap. And renting a place to do it costs an arm and a leg to do.

As far as the truck is concerned, I'll be done paying for my car next month so that leaves me more money in my pocket. So gas is not an issue. And i don't really want to get back into payments again.

I guess the answer will present itself when the time is right.

It is to bad you are not close to me. I have a 1400 sq foot shop that just has my boat in it. Plenty of room for working on a car.

J.J., it's great to read that your Monte will be paid `off,
not many can say that 4-Sure.
It would be great if you could get a group 2gether & rent out
a close gas station & share the expense.
JJ Auto Club...Member fee $20 a month
It's good you have time to decide and not have to rush &
buy something you don't want...
Good Luck 4-Sure

Below is 4 you & Member's 2 take a BeachBreak & EnJoy

Unfortunately with the job loss it is an unfinished shop. I still need to put concrete in the floor, wire it, and insulate it. When it is done it will have a wood shop, parking for the boat, and a lift for working on cars. I have a 56 ford f100 that I am go to restore as a hot rod truck. All takes money.

The Shop

I can park the boat hooked up to the blazer inside shop. Boat is 20'9"

First Trip out in the boat this spring. Bought the boat in January. Hopefully I will still have it next January.

The reason I bought the boat. Family fun. Taking my parents, sister in law and 3 nephews and niece out on the lake.
