I can't take time off due to lack of staff to cover me...yet I get 2 week Vacation a year, and I currently have 3 weeks available...But our vacation rolls over, so we never loose it. However, we get 4 sick days a year, and those are use it or loose it. Of course I am a dumbass, and never use them, so I loose them every year....I just feel guilty calling in sick, and when I really am sick, I can't miss work just because of short staff, and stuff needing to be done.

g/f starts work monday... jack starts daycar (we found today).... bbq/party tomarow for sis wedding my bday/gf got a job celebration sat.... o how sweet it is!!

Chris, i konw what you mean. I have a week of vacation next year then 2 weeks after being here 3 years. People from other stores have to come here to cover for me when i am out ( only 2 of us in this store ). We lose it if we dont use it ( no comment Mike LOL ). Someone had come here yesterday just cause i was sick. Then when get my 2 weeks off,i have to split it. Cant take them off at the same time.

Justin, sounds like someone is going to be parting their brains out this weekend.

 

I know those feelings too, since I'm the ONLY one that does my job, the longer I take off, the worse it is to come back. I find myself just taking long weekends instead of week vacations

 

where i work we get what is called PTO, paid time off, to use for everything such as vaca/berevement etc. so i get a total of 26 days per year + 5 is what i am allowed to carryover, anything more than that i lose. so right now i get about 1.8 days per month as vaca time. right now i am at 247.99 hours available to take off before the 3 days i am taking from thursday to tuesday. so i will be back to 28 days available then add 2 days next month and i will be back to 30 days. kinda confusing but i pretty much have to take 2 days off per month so i don't lose any time. also i hate to take any time because i usually come back to work to run down and can never sleep the night before taking time off!!

so, if anyone followed all this, your probably confused but in the end it sucks taking time off at work for me!! THE END

 

I kinda feel ya Chris...Like I said I have a hard time getting many days in a row off work, but when I am away from the office, I stress like crazy about what is happening with out me there...But I enjoy getting away from work sometime, you just need to...

 

all the good new this week i knew there was gunna be some bad...futur wify's uncle was diagnosed with pancriatic(idk if thats how u spell it) cancer they gave him 6 months to a year....

god, school was boring, lol. 2 1/2 hours of math will do that at 7:30 in the morning, lol.

oh, we got a new student in my tech class, and let me say, that that boy aint' right..... i got paired with him today to show him the ropes, and idk what hee's got going on, im kinda leaning towards a skitzoid, which can be verry nearvewracking at times, lol. the kid is like, 6-4, too.... so we are walking around, and he is lagging behind, & i can hear him talking & cussing to/ with/ at himself, later he got into a conversation & then a shouting match with a towel dispenser in the shop.... then he was crying with his head down on his desk... this was all in about 20 mins.... and he tends to wander around the shop, again talking to thin air.... it has the teacher & me kinda freeked, & every time i see him it makes me think of that pearljam song.... idk what it was called.... but yha, its gonna be a looooong year
