It doesn't take long. The muffler guy was closed at 4 p.m. so no muffler for me. Had a minor set back this morning. Got to work and the suburban was leaking antifreeze on the ground. Popped the hood and from what I could tell it was leaking out from the cap. Replaced the cap after work and so far no leaks. I am going to go ahead and change the thermostat. Since I will be in it later. The throttle body spacer should be here any minute.

When I replaced the cap I noticed it was a 7 pound cap and the replacement one is a 16 pound cap.

Ryan.I would say now is the right time for an engine swap. I sure you and your father and do it. I have been reading so much about the L67 that i think i can tackle it. Besides, you have people that can help. I know Bumpin96Monte is the man when it comes to swaps.

Just take a day or 2 to breth and forget about the car. sunday look at it with a cool head. Maybe a heater hose gave way. Maybe a clamp got loose.

You never know man.

Sometimes I want to kick chevy engineers in their tiny nut sacks. So to install the throttle body spacer you have to remove a bolt on the top of the bell housing. It is impossible to get to. I am going to order some fuel line extensions and skip it. Got the new thermostat in. The gasket for the old one was separated and pieces had melted to the intake manifold.

Yup it is tbi. The fuel lines are secured by a bracket in the bell housing. I can see it and touch it, but can not got a socket or wrench in there. I just ordered some fuel line extenders so that should solve that problem.

I put a 180 degree thermostat in.
