Default $550.00

thats what it just cost me to fix my MC. somehow my flywheel absolutly shattered and sent shrapnel everywhere. it'll be bout a week before its finished. anyone know what dumbass in GM decided they should use not only a extremely weak/skinny but 2 piece flywheel in these cars?

Probably the same guy that figgured out it would be 4 less minutes in the assembly line to install the two piece, and the part itself cost less because they got it from cheapazania, inc.overseas, and save the company like 80 grand over 3 years of production.... lol. But on the positive I'm sure because of all the cheapening sharevalues stayed more stable or maybe even got a little bump on the positive side.

It's the capitolist way after all...

I almost had my flexplate grenade on me. The damn thing cracked around all of the bolts holding it onto the crank. All that was holding it on was the torque converter.

Well maybe you guys shouldn't...

A. Build 1,000hp powerplants for your cars.
B. Mash your foot into the floor pans so hard it leaves a perminate impression.
C. Drive like you're two cards short of a full deck.
D. Try going from 0 to 100mph in less then 3 seconds.

Years ago there was a Furd or Chevy that had a flywheel the ring gear was spot welded to it. It was common problem the spot welds would snap so you now had to replace the flywheel. You could grind all day on the starter and it would spin the ring gear but that engine ain't gonna start.

LOL! For me...

A. Not even close to half that power at the crank.
B. Haven't done that yet... close but not yet.
C. Wouldn't even think of it.[sm=innoc.gif]
D. There's no way my car would accelerate that fast unless "A" was about 1000 horsepower, lol!

Hell, I'm just a bank robbery away from getting 1000 horsepower.
