What's up Everyone!
Everyone,
What's up! My name is Asa, but Ace is fine. I just signed up today, but I have been on the site awhile back before checking what was new from the "Monte of the Month" to latest repairs. At that time, I didn't have a Monte Carlo I finally bought one at a dealer few years ago and I really love this car. Though, I'm not riding on a 3.8L V6 SS model, but none the less, I have fallen in love with my car. I joined because I want to be around people who also love the Monte Carlo which would help me in fixing mine up, gaining knowledge about the car or to see what others have done to give myself and idea what it is I want to do to mine. I really want to learn my car as much as possible. I hope someone can lend a helping hand (in this case, word)
Car Info:
Superior Blue, 2003 Chevrolet Monte Carlo LS
Very High Miles (As of today over 160k)
Automatic
I am in the process of doing some repairs on the car as soon as I can.
I'm going for the major ones first:
Major:
Brakes
Right-Rear Strut *I will just replace all of them anyway.
Fuel Pump *My Gauge is showing full all the time
Minor:
Extreme Paint Job *More annoying than a normal repair
I'm looking for any tips, thoughts and ideas to help with all this.

Thanks you guys. I just took some pics not too long ago after I got off work. I realized that the hood isn't opening. I wanted to show some shots of the engine. I will probably get it replaced, but I'm not having any problems with it. I just want to keep this car as long as I can. Ounce the car is all fixed up, you guys think it would be better to install the 3.8l V6 SS engine?

What part of Florida are you? Before I moved here, I lived in Nashville TN. I loved it there. That was 1981 to 92. Thanks! I will keep that in mind about Florida being expensive. We've been looking at Arizona, Utah and even Seattle also.
