Used the forum for years but new to posting
Hello all, finally decided to join up. My name is Ryan.
I am a Red Seal Mechanic in Canada and This forum has been a great source of information for me over the years.
I have a 03 Monte Carlo SS I’ve driven since new.
Just swapped the engine as the block heater blew out, over heated the engine and roasted cylinder 3. The plug electrodes melted off and the wires on the left bank lit on fire while the coolant temp still read normal. Crazy stuff. To be fair it had 230 thousand miles on it and I was WOT when it happened lol
